Coffee, Children and Craziness

This is a very gentle reminder that I think we all need from time to time. Women especially always seem to have a running “to do” list in their head. Our heads tend to go directly to all the reasons why that thing we’ve been putting off can’t happen yet.

Maybe the weather stinks. We don’t have the money right now. It’s too hard to do if we have to bring the kids with us. It’s Friday so it’s going to be so crowded. We just aren’t in the right season of life to do that right now. Maybe when the kids are older.

There are usually these and a whole bunch of other reasons swirling through my mind. And yes, of course, sometimes these are very legitimate reasons for things to not happen right now. But if we are constantly saying, “Now is not the right time.” about everything, we will miss out on some great opportunities that God has put in front of us. No, it might not be convenient right now. But will it still not be convenient in a month? Six months? A year? No one is promised a long life on this earth. We have no idea what tomorrow may bring or what loved ones will still be with us next year.

“The time will never be perfect.” So very true. The time to do stuff is right now. Just take a leap and go do it. Money will return, time will not.
